BS003 US Power Cord

CSAETL
Rated Current
10A/12A/13A
Rated Voltage
125V~
Conductor Configuration
Two conductors; 18 AWG or 16 AWG

Product Description

BS003 combines a US-style plug with two-conductor cable configurations for power connection assemblies. The electrical options are 10A, 12A or 13A at 125V AC; the cable type, conductor size and current rating are selected together for the complete assembly.

Flat PVC options include SPT-1, SPT-2, SPT-3, NISPT-1 and NISPT-2 in the conductor sizes shown in the specification table. Round PVC options cover SVT and SJT families, while the rubber-cable options include HPN, HPN-R and the listed SJ/S families.

Use the catalogue outline to review the plug shape and cable entry. For a quotation, specify the cable designation, conductor size, finished length, equipment-end termination, destination market and order quantity. The selected configuration determines the applicable product documentation.

PROJECT SUPPORT

Manufacturing & Customization.

Explore manufacturing capabilities and customization options for your product requirements.

Manufacturing feasibility, inspection requirements and product documentation are reviewed around the needs of each project.

Customization Options

  1. Plug & Market Configuration

Select the plug format and destination-market requirements for the project. Electrical ratings and any applicable approval coverage must be checked against the specific plug-and-cable configuration.

  2. Cable Construction & Length

Specify cable construction, conductor size and finished length. Material choices, dimensional tolerances and achievable configurations are confirmed during technical review.

  3. Equipment-End Connection

Define the equipment-end connector or termination and the required interface. Compatibility depends on cable construction, electrical ratings and the receiving equipment.

  4. Branding & Packaging

Discuss permitted marking, colour and packaging details for the selected configuration. Artwork, labelling, quantities and any additional production requirements are agreed before an order is finalized.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Applications & Selection Guide

01 / APPLICATIONS

Typical Applications

Power cords are used with electrical appliances and other mains-powered equipment that have a compatible supply interface. Selection depends on the destination market, the equipment's electrical class and the operating environment. The plug format and equipment-end connection must suit the actual installation; a similar-looking cord is not necessarily a suitable replacement.

02 / SELECTION

Selection & Compatibility

Match the cable type, conductor size, finished length and equipment-end connector to the equipment's supply and mechanical needs. For fused-plug versions, select the fuse for the complete cord assembly and intended load. Plug, cable and connector ratings must be considered together, including cable retention and any applicable temperature or handling limits.

BS003 lists 10A, 12A or 13A configurations at 125V AC with two-conductor cables. The current choice belongs to the complete assembly, not the plug name alone. Match the cable type and conductor size to the equipment specification and obtain the documentation for that combination; the options list does not mean every rating can be paired with every cable.

The product information includes flat PVC SPT and NISPT families, round PVC SVT/SJT families and listed rubber-cable families. The two-conductor sizes shown are 18 AWG and 16 AWG, with different designations for each size. Describe the equipment-end interface or termination separately so its compatibility with the selected cable and intended equipment can be established.

An OEM enquiry can define finished length, the equipment-end termination, marking and packaging alongside the listed cable configuration. These are project choices to assess, rather than a promise that every variation is already available. Include an assembly drawing or interface detail where relevant; manufacturing and documentation suitability depend on the final construction.

A BS003 catalogue outline is available in Drawings & Documents for discussing plug form and cable entry. Standards references in the specification table do not, on their own, demonstrate approval of every plug-and-cable combination. Ask for the model- and configuration-specific documents needed for your intended market, along with any additional dimensions required for assembly.

Please send the destination market, required current rating, cable designation, conductor size, finished length and equipment-end termination, together with the estimated quantity. Identify BS003 and any marking or packaging preferences. A drawing of the equipment interface is useful when the end connection is important, while any required conformity documents should be specified for the proposed assembly.
